This year, we’re giving back through the Comfort for the Coast Giveaway — donating full HVAC systems to deserving families, veterans, teachers, and neighbors who need a helping hand.
If you or someone you know is facing a difficult season and could benefit from a brand-new heating and cooling system, we invite you to share your story. Your nomination could bring relief, comfort, and peace of mind for years to come.

Our team is looking for individuals or families in our community who:
Are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford a new HVAC system
Live in a home where the current system is broken, outdated, or missing
Have made a positive impact on their community (veteran, teacher, caregiver, volunteer, etc.)
Are committed to their family’s well-being but need some help along the way
Reside within or around our Down East service areas in Jacksonville, NC, Wilmington, N,C or Myrtle Beach, SC.

Why We’re Doing This
Coastal living is beautiful — but it’s not always easy. Salt exposure, humidity, and aging systems can leave homes hot, humid, and vulnerable. Many families in our area simply don’t have the resources to replace broken HVAC systems, and they suffer in silence.
At Down East, we’re changing that. As a company built on integrity, reliability, and family values, we believe no one should have to choose between comfort and cost.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many HVAC systems are being given away?
We’ll be selecting one winner in each of our key service areas — Jacksonville, Wilmington, and Myrtle Beach — for a total of three full system giveaways. This allows us to serve multiple communities and make a bigger impact where it’s needed most.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes, absolutely. If you or your family are in need of a new HVAC system, we welcome you to share your story.
Do nominees need to own the home?
Yes. To ensure proper installation and long-term system care, nominees must own and reside in the home where the system would be installed.
Are the HVAC systems brand new?
Yes! Each recipient will receive a brand-new, energy-efficient Daikin system, fully installed by our licensed Down East technicians.
What cities or counties are eligible?
Eligible nominees must live within our Eastern NC or Northern SC service areas, including:
- Jacksonville & surrounding areas
- Wilmington & surrounding areas
- Myrtle Beach & surrounding areas
When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced shortly after the nomination period ends on December 1.2025. Installations are expected to begin in December.
